NYCN Ogori/Magongo Unveils Signposts for Quiz Competition

NYCN Ogori/Magongo Erects Signposts to Boost Inter-School Quiz Competition, Seeks Greater Cooperation from Schools

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ogori/Magongo Local Government Chapter, has erected signposts at strategic locations across the local government area as part of efforts to create awareness and enhance participation in its forthcoming Inter-School Quiz Competition.

Speaking on the initiative, the Coordinator of the Council, Comr Tayo Onimisi Omodaiye said the signposts are aimed at drawing public attention to the competition and reinforcing the importance of education in community development.
He noted that the campaign serves as a reminder to schools, students, parents, and other stakeholders of the need to support programmes that promote academic excellence and improve learning outcomes.

The Coordinator commended schools that have already indicated interest in participating in the competition and urged other schools yet to register or fully engage with the initiative to take advantage of the opportunity.

Also speaking, the NYCN Project Committee Chairman, Comrade Peter Arigi, emphasized that the success of the programme depends largely on the cooperation and commitment of school administrators, teachers, students, and parents.

According to him, the competition is not merely a contest but a platform designed to encourage a reading culture, critical thinking, teamwork, healthy academic rivalry, and the pursuit of excellence among young people.

Comrade Arigi further appealed to principals, teachers, parents, and community leaders to support the initiative by motivating students to participate actively and represent their respective schools with pride.
He assured participating schools of a transparent, fair, and rewarding competition that will recognize outstanding performances and promote a culture of learning throughout Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area.
