Kwara 2027: Group says Abdulfatai Seriki remains APC’s strongest governorship option

The Kwara Young Progressive Forum and Good Governance Initiative has described Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki as the strongest governorship prospect for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State ahead of the 2027 elections.

The group stated that the APC stands a better chance of retaining power in the state if Seriki emerges as its governorship candidate

In a statement signed by its Convener, Dr. Adams Abdulwahab Opeyemi, on Sunday, the group called on the APC leadership at both the national and state levels to reconsider its position regarding Seriki’s governorship ambition.

According to the group, Seriki enjoys considerable support among young people in the state and has demonstrated commitment to economic empowerment through his business and philanthropic activities.

The statement noted that his entrepreneurial ventures and empowerment programmes have provided employment opportunities and support for many residents.
