2027: Kogi Central Senatorial Election Will Be a 'Thank You Vote' for Yahaya Bello — FAWWASS

The Fairwin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) has declared that the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial election will serve as a "thank you vote" for former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, in recognition of what the group described as his phenomenal contributions to the development of Kogi Central and the state at large.

The group stated that the growing support for the former governor across Kogi Central is driven by widespread appreciation among residents, particularly women and youths, who benefited from various policies and programmes implemented during his administration.

In a statement made available to news men, the President of FAWWASS, Hon. Bilikisu Aliyu, said Bello's administration was distinguished by deliberate efforts to promote inclusive governance, women's participation in leadership, youth empowerment, improved security, and infrastructural development across the state.

According to her, women across the five local government areas of Kogi Central have resolved to mobilize support for the former governor ahead of the senatorial election, describing the initiative as a demonstration of gratitude and confidence in his leadership.

FAWWASS maintained that the forthcoming election goes beyond partisan politics and presents an opportunity for the people of Kogi Central to acknowledge what it described as years of dedicated service and commitment to the welfare of the masses.
The group further noted that Bello's political influence and grassroots appeal remain strong throughout the district, adding that his presence in the National Assembly would provide Kogi Central with stronger representation and greater access to democratic dividends.

"The 2027 senatorial election will be more than a political contest; it will be a referendum on performance, leadership, and service to the people. It will be a 'thank you vote' from the people of Kogi Central to a leader who stood by them and invested in their future," Hon. Bilikisu stated.

The group also called on residents of the district to remain united and focused on the collective development of the area, urging stakeholders to place progress above divisive politics.
FAWWASS expressed confidence that the people of Kogi Central would reward Bello's legacy of service with overwhelming support at the polls in 2027.
