SALLAH MESSAGE BY THE GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE,
HIS EXCELLENCY, ALHAJI AHMED USMAN ODODO
My dear people of Kogi State,
I extend my warmest greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters across the State as we celebrate this year’s Sallah. This sacred season reminds us of the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, humility, and unbending faith in the Almighty Allah.
Eid-el-Fitr is a moment of deep reflection on the lessons of Ramadan: self-discipline, compassion for one another, and total submission to the will of Allah. These values are critical as we continue our collective journey toward building a more united, peaceful, and prosperous Kogi State.
As a government, we remain committed to improving the welfare of our people, strengthening security, and delivering on our promises across all sectors. We are encouraged by your support and resilience, and we assure you that we will not relent in our efforts to justify the confidence you have reposed in us.
At this important time in our nation’s history, I urge all citizens to continue to pray for the peace, unity, and stability of Nigeria. Let us also offer special prayers and unwavering support for our President, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as he continues to lead the nation through critical reforms aimed at securing a brighter future for all.
I call on all of us to use this occasion to promote love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, regardless of our religious or political differences. Together, we can build a stronger Kogi State and a greater Nigeria.
On behalf of the Government of Kogi State, I wish you a joyful and peaceful Sallah celebration.
Eid Mubarak!
HE Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA
Governor, Kogi State
