The APC candidate for Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area, Hon. Sunday Ezekiel Osiako, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.In his Sallah message made available to Radio Kogi Correspondent, Hon. Osiako urged Muslims to put into practice the lessons learned during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Expressing confidence that God has answered the prayers and supplications offered during the fasting period, he charged Muslims and all Nigerians to remain steadfast, determined, and patriotic in order to move the state and nation forward.
Hon. Osiako also enjoined Muslims to be their brothers’ keepers by extending helping hands at all times. He noted that one of the key lessons of Ramadan is the importance of assisting the needy, a virtue every Muslim should imbibe.
He further urged Muslims in the state to continue praying for Kogi State even after Ramadan, emphasizing that a peaceful and prosperous society requires sustained prayers.
“We thank God for granting us the opportunity to witness the Holy Month of Ramadan in peace. We pray that God accepts all our acts of Ibadah. As I joined the the Muslim ummah today to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, I enjoin Kogites, especially Muslims in Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area, to continue to pray for our state and our leaders. Let us also remain united as a people,” the APC candidate said.
