APC Candidate Osiako Breaks Fast with Muslim Community at Ogori Central Mosque

In a show of unity, tolerance, and inclusive leadership, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the forthcoming Ogori/Magongo Local Government election, Hon. Sunday Ezekiel Osiako, on Tuesday warmly joined members of the Muslim community at the Ogori Central Mosque.

Hon. Osiako, who is widely known to come from a Christian family, said leadership goes beyond religious boundaries and must embrace all people regardless of faith or background.

He reaffirmed his commitment to fairness, equity, and the protection of the rights of all religious groups within the local government, noting that development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity and cooperation.

He urged the people to continue to live in peace and support leaders who prioritize collective progress over division.

In his remarks, the Chief Imam of the mosque, Ustadh Ahmed Abdullahi Amzat, applauded Hon. Osiako for his uncommon gesture, describing it as a clear demonstration of humility and true leadership.

While noting that such a gesture has never been accorded to Muslims by any local authority in the area, he commended the APC candidate for promoting harmony and setting a good example for others to follow.

"This is the first time something like this is happening in our community, and we are happy that it is coming from one of the youngest and brilliant politician in our local government area. On behalf of the Muslim community in Ogori, I thank you for providing iftar (meal) for us to break our fast, and we pray that Allah rewards you," the Chief Imam added.
