WAEC 2026: Kogi SA on Education, Abdulmalik, Inspects Schools, Urges Compliance with Examination Guidelines

The Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Education, Mr Abdullahi Abdulmalik has embarked on an inspection tour of schools across Kogi Central to monitor the ongoing 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and ensure strict adherence to examination guidelines.
During the visits, the Special Adviser assessed the conduct of the examinations, the preparedness of school authorities, and the level of compliance with regulations established by the West African Examinations Council.
He commended school administrators, teachers, and examination officials for their efforts in maintaining order and creating a conducive environment for candidates.
He, however, stressed the need for continuous vigilance to prevent examination malpractice and uphold the integrity of the examination process.
The Special Adviser urged candidates to remain focused, disciplined, and confident in their abilities, emphasizing that success achieved through hard work and honesty is more rewarding and sustainable than any form of malpractice.
He also reiterated the commitment of the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to improving educational standards across the state through effective supervision, monitoring, and support for schools.
According to him, ensuring credible examinations remains a priority of the government as part of its broader efforts to strengthen the education sector and produce students who can compete favorably at both national and international levels.
The inspection exercise covered public and private schools, with the Special Adviser expressing satisfaction with the level of compliance recorded in most centres.
