Ogori Traditional Rulers Offer Special Prayers, Back Osiako for LG Chairmanship
Traditional rulers in Ogori have offered prayers and formally endorsed Hon. Sunday Ezekiel Osiako as their preferred candidate for the position of Chairman of Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area.
The endorsement was made during a meeting of the Ogori Traditional Council, led by the Otaro Idu Adubane, HRH Chief David O. Akande.
The Council described Hon. Osiako as a man of integrity, vision, and proven dedication to the welfare and progress of the Ogori/Magongo people.
They urged residents of Ogori/Magongo to rally behind him in the forthcoming local government election, expressing confidence that his leadership would usher in meaningful development, peace, and inclusive governance across the local government area.
While offering special prayers for the repose of the soul of High Chief Emmanuel Sunday Osiako Idu (VII) of Ogori Land, who's the father of the APC candidate, the traditional rulers sought divine guidance, wisdom, and success for Hon. Sunday Osiako in his political journey. They noted that his aspiration reflects the collective desire of the people for sustainable development, responsive governance, and accountable leadership.
In his response, Hon. Osiako expressed profound gratitude to the traditional Council for their support and blessings. He pledged to run an open, transparent, and people-centered administration that prioritizes economic opportunities for all residents of Ogori/Magongo.
Meanwhile, Hon. Sunday Ezekiel Osiako is scheduled to meet with the Magongo Traditional Council on Thursday this week as part of his ongoing consultations and engagements with traditional institutions across the local government area.
