Governor Ododo Inspects Okehi Local Government Secretariat Renovation

The Accountant-General of Kogi State, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko, on Saturday ably represented Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo during an inspection visit to the ongoing reconstruction of the Okehi Local Government Secretariat.

The inspection was part of the Governor’s commitment to ensuring quality delivery of infrastructure projects across the state.

Dr. Habibat, while speaking on behalf of the Governor, reaffirmed the administration’s determination to strengthen local government institutions as engines of grassroots governance and service delivery.

She commended the contractor handling the project, Engr Wahab Jimoh for the level of work already achieved and urged them to sustain speed without compromising quality.

Dr. Habibat also noted that the reconstruction of the Secretariat will not only provide a conducive working environment for staff but also improve efficiency in governance at the local government level.

Community leaders and stakeholders present at the inspection expressed appreciation to Governor Ododo for prioritizing infrastructural renewal in Okehi LGA. They described the Secretariat reconstruction as a timely intervention that underscores the administration’s people-centered approach to development.

The visit further demonstrates Governor Ododo’s resolve to bring governance closer to the people by investing in projects that directly impact communities across Kogi State.
