
The Accountant General of Kogi State, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko, on Saturday played host to a delegation of entertainers from Kogi Central Senatorial District at her Okene residence.
The visit, described as both a courtesy call and a show of solidarity, provided an avenue for the entertainers to interact directly with the Accountant-General and to express their support for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Speaking at the gathering, Dr. Habibat Oyiza commended the entertainers for their creativity and resilience, noting that the entertainment industry remains a vital tool for youth engagement, social cohesion, and cultural promotion.
She assured them of her continuous support, stressing the government’s readiness to create an enabling environment for the growth of the creative sector in Kogi State.
The spokesperson of the entertainers, Hon. Ajagu Omoye in his remark, thanked the AG over her supports for Umachaku's family and appreciated the Accountant General for opening her doors to them, and for her consistent encouragement of talents across the state.
The entertainers pledged to use their platforms to project the positive image of Kogi State while contributing to grassroots mobilization and community development.
The meeting ended on a convivial note with calls for stronger collaboration between government officials and the entertainment community in shaping a vibrant cultural landscape for the state.
