Muslim Community Commends Assembly Member, Prince Bode, for Providing Borehole at Magongo Central Mosque
The Muslim Community of Ogori/Magongo local government area has expressed deep appreciation to Prince Bode Ogunmola, member representing Ogori/Magongo in the Kogi State House of Assembly, for sinking a borehole at the Central Mosque in Magongo.
The gesture has been described by the Chief Imam of Magongo Central Mosque as timely and impactful, particularly as the community had long struggled with access to clean and portable water within the mosque environment.
Speaking on behalf of the Muslim Community, the Chief Imam of the Magongo Central Mosque, Imam Buhari Salawudeen lauded the Assembly Member for his thoughtfulness and commitment to the welfare of the people.
He noted that water plays a vital role in Islamic worship, especially in the performance of ablution (wudu), and the provision of a borehole within the mosque premises will ease the stress of worshippers.
“We are indeed grateful to Prince. Bode Ogunmola for this intervention.
He has not only addressed a pressing need but also demonstrated his genuine concern for the spiritual and social wellbeing of his people,” the Imam stated.
Other community leaders echoed similar sentiments.
They described the borehole project as a legacy that will serve generations to come.
Prince. Bode Ogunmola, had earlier stated that, beyond lawmaking, he considered it his duty to touch lives directly through projects that promote comfort, dignity, and development.
He said, “Water is life, and in a sacred place like the mosque, it becomes even more important. I am happy that this borehole will serve both worshippers and the surrounding community,”
Special prayers was offered for Prince Bode Ogunmola, asking Allah to reward him abundantly and grant him greater wisdom to continue serving humanity.
