Kogi@34: Habibat-Oyiza Harps on Unity, Peace, DevelopmentAs Kogi State marks its 34th anniversary, the Accountant General of the State, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko, has urged citizens to remain committed to the pursuit of unity, peace, and development.
In her goodwill message, Dr. Habibat emphasized the need for sustained harmony across all parts of the state, noting that peace and unity are the foundation for meaningful growth and progress.
She said: “As we celebrate the 34th anniversary of the creation of Kogi State, we must join hands with government in the collective task of building and developing our dear state.”
While commending the people of Kogi for their steadfastness, selflessness, and patriotism over the years, the Accountant General lauded Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for what she described as bold and transformative leadership that has repositioned Kogi as one of the fastest-rising states in the North.
According to her, Kogites have witnessed visible transformation, particularly in the areas of security structure, civil service reforms, infrastructure, and financial transparency.
Dr. Habibat further offered prayers for former Governor Yahaya Bello, acknowledging him for laying the solid foundation upon which Governor Ododo is building.
