Kogi Accountant-General Felicitates Workers on May Day

The Kogi State Accountant-General, Habibat Tijani Onumoko, has congratulated workers across the state on the occasion of the 2026 International Workers’ Day, commending their dedication and contributions to the growth and development of Kogi State.

In a goodwill message, the Accountant-General described workers as the backbone of governance and service delivery, noting that their commitment continues to drive the state’s progress.
She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to financial transparency, accountability, and the prompt payment of salaries and pensions, stressing that the welfare of workers remains a top priority of the present administration.

The Accountant-General also urged workers to remain diligent, disciplined, and supportive of ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening the state’s public service.
She concluded by wishing all workers a peaceful and rewarding May Day celebration.
