Kogi AG Urges Kogi Youths, Women to Be Cautious of Political Manipulation
The Kogi State Accountant-General, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko, has urged the people of Kogi State, particularly youths and women, not to fall for deceptive tactics often deployed by politicians as the nation draws closer to the next election cycle.
Dr. Habibat delivered the caution on Sunday through the President of the FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS), Hon. Bilikisu Aliyu, emphasizing the need for citizens to remain vigilant and politically conscious.
Dr Habibat stressed that the people must stand firm in supporting Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure their return to office in 2027, noting that continuity is essential for sustained development.
According to her, President Tinubu’s administration has introduced several far-reaching reforms and demonstrated prudent management of national resources, an approach she said Governor Ododo is successfully replicating at the state level.
She further explained that these reforms are already laying the foundation for improved governance, economic stability, and better living standards.
Dr. Habibat called on women and young people to remain focused, avoid being swayed by empty promises, and align themselves with leaders committed to genuine progress.
She further encouraged youths and women in the state to take ownership of their civic responsibility, participate actively in democratic processes, and resist any form of inducement that undermines their value and the future of the nation, and Kogi state.
