Kogi State Government Inaugurates Elected State Executives of the NYCN
The Kogi State Government, on Thursday, 30th October 2025, inaugurated the elected State Executives of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) at the Government House, (Banquets hall), Lokoja.
Among the inaugurated officers is Comrade Stephen Andrew, who now serves as the Sports Director (Central) of the Council.
In his acceptance speech, Comr. Stephen Andrew expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to serve.
He said, “I'm deeply honoured and privileged to serve under this new capacity as the Sports Director of the NYCN, Central.
My sincere appreciation goes to Hon. Ijese Omole Charity, the Special Adviser on Youth and Women Mobilization, for her support and guidance.
I also extend my heartfelt thanks to the leadership of the NYCN in Ogori/Magongo LGA, including the stakeholders, most especially, my brother, Hon. Osiako Ezekiel Sunday, whose mentorship and belief in me marked the beginning of my leadership journey.
My big brother’s input, Engr Abiodun Andrew Sunday, is not forgotten. I will never betray the confidence he reposed in me.
I promise to serve diligently and contribute meaningfully to youth development in our dear state.”
The ceremony established yet another achievement in youth leadership and empowerment in Kogi State, reaffirming the government’s commitment to promoting active youth participation in governance.
