Kogi AG to Ankpa Residents: “I’m Here to Take Your Requests to Governor Ododo”
The Accountant General of Kogi State, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko, has reaffirmed the Ahmed Usman Ododo-led administration's commitment to prioritizing citizens’ welfare and ensuring that development reaches every part of the state.
Speaking at the Ankpa Local Government Secretariat shortly after commissioning FAWWASS office in the area, Dr. Habibat expressed gratitude to the people for the warm reception accorded her.
She said, “I’m here this afternoon to thank all of you for your support for the government of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo,”
“With the large turnout of people today, there’s no cause for concern as we approach the 2027 election.”
"It is evident that Ankpa remains firmly behind the APC, as Governor Ododo’s performance speaks for itself.”
The Accountant General also posed an open question to the residents, asking: “Is there anything our government is not getting right? I’m available, send me to the governor.”
She further appreciated the traditional rulers who received her and commended the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Usman Ogbo, for strengthening security measures in the institution to curtail social vices.
Dr. Habibat also urged the people of Ankpa to remain actively involved in grassroots politics by regularly attending their respective ward meetings.
In a related development, the town of Afor Gam-Gam in Ankpa Local Government Area came alive as residents trooped out in their hundreds to welcome the Accountant-General of Kogi State, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko.
The people rolled out drums and rendered songs of appreciation in recognition of the Accountant General's remarkably contributions since the inception of the Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo-led administration in Kogi State.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Habibat explained that her visit to Afor Gam-Gam was to interact and thank the people for their support for the present administration over the past year.
She further urged the community to continue to offer prayers for former Governor Yahaya Bello, whom she described as the architect of the developmental roadmap and enduring legacies that the Ododo administration is sustaining.
