Ogori/Magongo Muslim Community Commiserates with Governor Ododo Over Father’s Death
The Muslim community in Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area has expressed deep sympathy with the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, following the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, who passed away at the age of 83.
In a condolence message delivered on behalf of the Muslim Ummah, the Chief Imam emphasized that death is an inevitable reality ordained by Allah, citing the Qur’anic verse that declares, “Every soul shall taste death.”
The Imam reminded the faithful that the time allotted to mankind on earth is limited and should be spent in reverence and obedience to Allah.
He admonished members of the community and the general public to reflect on the transient nature of life and live in ways that will earn them Allah’s mercy in the hereafter.
While consoling Governor Ododo, the Imam urged him to accept the passing of his father as the will of Allah, describing the late patriarch as a respected elder whose life impacted many.
He prayed Allah grant the Governor and the Ododo family the strength to bear the loss and to bless the departed soul with eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.
The Imam further called on the people of Ogori/Magongo and Kogi State at large to continue to support and pray for the Governor during this period of mourning, stressing that collective prayers and unity are essential in moments of grief.
