Leave Bonus: Kogi Eastern Flank of NULGE Hails Gov Ododo

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Eastern flank of Kogi State, has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for introducing a sustainable Leave Bonus payment scheme for local government workers across the state.

Speaking at an extraordinary meeting held in the residence of Comr. Chief Tom Abutu in Ankpa LGA, the NULGE forum chairman, Comr. Muktar Yusuf praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his proactive and workers-friendly policies.

He reaffirmed the union’s earlier endorsement of the governor for a second term, recalling that during the governor’s first-year anniversary in office, the State NULGE President, Comrade Alhaji Senusi Inyanya Mohammed, had led the official declaration of support.

"Today, we are restating our unalloyed commitment to that pledge,” Comrade Yusuf said.
Comrade Yusuf also hailed the governor for including local government staff in the state’s health programme.

According to him, with visible projects scattered across the state, the governor needs no campaign to return to Lugard House in 2027.

Comr Abutu and others who also spoke during the program, urged the people of Kogi East to mobilize and participate in the forthcoming INEC registration exercise, to enable the area enjoy more dividends of Democracy.
