Kogi AG Felicitates Muslims on Eid-al-Adha Celebration
The Accountant General of Kogi State, Dr Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has extended warm greetings to muslims across the state on the occasion of Eid al Adha.
In a statement issued in Okene on Friday shortly after the eid prayers, the Accountant General congratulated former governor Yahaya Bello, the incumbent, governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the entire muslim faithful for witnessing another Eid al Adha, urging the muslims to reflect on the values of sacrifice, obedience and devotion as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
She further highlighted the role of unity and harmony among all religious adherents in the state, noting that Eid al Adha should also serve as a reminder of the importance of coming together to foster peace and understanding among all citizens.
While acknowledging the efforts of the citizens in supporting the administration of governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Accountant General called for continued collaboration and dedication to the growth and development of the state.
She concluded by praying for the safety of all pilgrims currently performing the Hajj and for lasting peace across Kogi State and Nigeria.
