Ogori/Magongo Muslim Community Expresses appreciation to Gov Ododo for his Responsiveness to their Concerns

The Ogori/Magongo muslim community has conveyed sincere gratitude to governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his timely and considerate attention to issues of marginalization raised in their letter to the governor.

The letter which was directly addressed to governor Ahmed Usman Ododo was titled, "Complaints by the Muslim Communities of Ogori/Magongo on the Fraudulent Distribution of Rice Palliatives Meant for Ogori/Magongo", and it was jointly signed by the Chief Imams, Seriki Musilimi, Central Mosques Committee Chairmen and the Central Mosques Committee Secretaries in the local government area.

Recall that copies of the letter were also made available to the Office of the Kogi State Accountant General, Kogi State Commissioner for LG and Chieftaincy Affairs, State APC Secretariat, Ohinoyi of Ebiraland and the Council of Imams in Kogi Central.

In a press briefing today, the Muslim community extended its profound appreciation to the governor for its steadfast commitment to promoting religious freedom, social justice, and inclusive governance in Kogi State.

The muslim leaders explained that the governor's gesture demonstrates his willingness to listen and address the needs of all the citizens of the state, and the group thanked the Kogi State Accountant General, Dr Habibat Oyiza Tijjani for managing the situation with fairness and openness.

"We are particularly grateful for the government's initiatives that ensure the recognition of Islamic values and practices, the inclusion of Muslims in decision-making processes, and the provision of opportunities for our community". 

"These efforts does not only empower our community but also advance the collective progress and prosperity of our state"

"As muslims, we reaffirm our commitment to working with the government in its noble pursuit of peace, unity, and development."

While also acknowledging the efforts of the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr Deedat Ozigi, State APC Chairman, Alh. Abdullahi Bello, Chairman of Local Government Service Commission, Adams Adabenege, Council of Imams in Kogi Central, the Muslim Community prayed Allah continue to grant governor Ahmed Usman Ododo wisdom, strength, and divine guidance in the service of the people.
