NYCN KOGI STATE CHAPTER COMMENDS DR. ABDULLAHI MUSTAPHA ON THE COMMISSIONING OF THE BAREFOOT RENEWABLE ENERGY COLLEGE IN KOGI STATE

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State Chapter, led by Comrade Abdulrahaman Mumuni (Enesi) heartily congratulates and commends the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha, on the successful commissioning of the Barefoot Renewable Energy College in Osara Kogi State.

This landmark achievement is a clear demonstration of visionary leadership and an unwavering commitment to advancing renewable energy, technological innovation, youth empowerment, and sustainable national development. The establishment of this institution marks a significant milestone in positioning Kogi State as a strategic hub for renewable energy education, research, and practical skills acquisition.
The Barefoot Renewable Energy College will equip thousands of young Nigerians with world-class technical knowledge and hands-on skills in clean and renewable energy technologies. This initiative will not only enhance employment opportunities and entrepreneurship among youths but will also contribute immensely to addressing energy poverty, promoting environmental sustainability, accelerating industrial growth, and strengthening Nigeria's transition towards a green economy.

For Kogi State, this institution represents a catalyst for economic transformation, attracting investment, creating jobs, fostering innovation, and developing a new generation of skilled professionals capable of driving both state and national development.
We equally express our profound appreciation to His Excellency, President *Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR*, for appointing a highly competent, visionary, and result-oriented leader in the person of Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha to head the Energy Commission of Nigeria. This appointment has continued to yield remarkable dividends, as evidenced by impactful projects and reforms that are strengthening Nigeria's energy sector and expanding opportunities for young people.

The NYCN Kogi State Chapter remains confident that under Dr. Mustapha's leadership, the Energy Commission of Nigeria will continue to deliver innovative programmes that support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while empowering Nigerian youths with the skills required to compete in the global clean energy economy.
