Easter: Osiako Felicitates Christians, Urges Peaceful Coexistence
The Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ogori/Magongo LGA, Hon. Sunday Ezekiel Osiako, has extended warm Easter felicitations to Christians in Ogori/Magongo LGA and across Kogi State, calling on Kogites to embrace peaceful coexistence and uphold the virtues imbibed during the Lenten season.
In his Easter message, Osiako described Easter as a sacred period that reminds humanity of the triumph of hope over despair and life over death.
He noted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ represents the ultimate sacrifice for mankind and serves as a powerful call for forgiveness, and selflessness in daily living.
Osiako further urged residents of Ogori/Magongo and the wider Kogi community to shun all forms of division, violence, and intolerance, stressing that peaceful coexistence remains the foundation for meaningful development.
He said, "regardless of political, ethnic, or religious differences, the collective interest of the people must always come first."
While encouraging Christians to use the Easter period as a time of fervent prayers for Kogi State and Nigeria, particularly for peace, unity, and sustainable progress, Hon. Osiako called for prayers for leaders at all levels of governance, asking for divine wisdom, and guidance in addressing the challenges facing the nation.
