Kogi Poly Governing Council Chair Calls on Graduates to Drive Innovation and Solve Problems

By Audu MomohJimoh

The Chairman of the Governing Council of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Barr. Sani Momoh Shuaibu has charged graduating students of the institution to embrace innovation, creativity, and problem-solving as they step into the next phase of their lives.

Speaking at the 5th combined Convocation Ceremony of the Polytechnic, the Chairman emphasized that academic certificates alone are no longer sufficient to guarantee success in today’s competitive and rapidly evolving world.
He urged the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies to address real-life challenges and contribute meaningfully to societal development.

According to him, the future belongs to individuals who can think critically, create solutions, and adapt to changing economic and technological realities. He encouraged the graduates to become job creators rather than job seekers, stressing the importance of entrepreneurship, research, and technological innovation in driving national growth.
The Chairman also commended the management, academic staff, and non-teaching staff of the Polytechnic for their commitment to academic excellence and capacity building.

He noted that the institution has continued to produce graduates who are making positive impacts in various sectors of the economy.
The convocation ceremony witnessed the conferment of diplomas and certificates on successful students across various disciplines, as well as the recognition of outstanding students and staff for their contributions to the institution.
