OG/M LG Polls: APC Chairmanship Candidate Osiako Hosts Kogi Central Artisans

A delegation of artisans from across the Kogi Central Senatorial District, representing various craft and trade associations, on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Sunday Ezekiel Osiako, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate for the forthcoming Ogori/Magongo Local Government election.

The artisans, who cut across different professions including mechanics, carpenters, welders, tailors, electricians, and traders, said the visit was to identify with the APC candidate and express their confidence in his leadership capacity, people-oriented agenda, and commitment to grassroots development.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the President of the Kogi Central Artisans, Mr Bello Abdulkadiri Onimisi commended Hon. Osiako for his track record of community service and accessibility, describing him as a unifying figure who understands the challenges facing artisans and small-scale business owners across the district.

He assured the candidate of the group’s support before, during, and after the election.

In his response, Hon. Sunday Osiako in company of his running mate, Hon. Mariam Abubakar expressed gratitude to the artisans for the visit and their show of solidarity, noting that artisans remain the backbone of local economic growth and community development. He reiterated his commitment to policies and programmes that would promote skills acquisition, access to microcredit, and an enabling environment for small and medium-scale enterprises if elected.

Hon. Osiako further assured the delegation that the present administration of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo is prioritizing inclusive governance, youth empowerment, and partnership with trade groups to drive sustainable development across local government areas in Kogi Stater. He therefore called fo their continued and unalloyed support.

The visit ended on a cordial note with prayers for peaceful elections and continued unity among artisans across Kogi Central, as well as renewed calls for grassroots mobilization in support of the APC candidate.
