The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ogori/Magongo Chapter, has commended Hon. Charity Ijese for her outstanding commitment to youth and community empowerment in Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area.
Speaking with newsmen in NYCN Secretariat Akpafa, the Coordinator of the Council, Comr. Tayo Onimisi Omodaiye, praised Hon. Ijese for her consistent support to the people, noting that her recent empowerment programme has brought relief and renewed hope to many households in the area.
He described the gesture as timely, people-oriented, and a clear demonstration of her passion for grassroots development.
According to him, the items and financial support distributed during the programme will go a long way in boosting small businesses, supporting widows, students, and vulnerable persons, as well as encouraging self-reliance among the beneficiaries. He added that Hon. Ijese has consistently used her position to positively touch lives, particularly those of the youth.
The Coordinator further urged other political office holders and well-meaning individuals to emulate Hon. Ijese by initiating programmes that directly impact the lives of the people. He assured that the NYCN would continue to partner with leaders who prioritize youth development and community progress.
Comr. Tayo also called on beneficiaries to make judicious use of the support received, stressing that empowerment programmes are meant to create lasting change rather than temporary relief.
The NYCN prayed for God’s guidance and strength for Hon. Charity Ijese as she continues her service to humanity and her contributions to the development of Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area.
