
Comr. Adams Babangida Jimoh Bags Excellence Award as Lokoja Indigenous People Rally Behind Tinubu, Ododo for Second Term
The Concerned Lokoja Indigenous People have honoured the Chief Consultant of the Lokoja International Market, Comrade Adams Babangida Jimoh, with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the transformation and effective management of the market. The award ceremony, held on Tuesday at the Lokoja Town Hall, attracted community leaders, market stakeholders, youth groups, and supporters from across the metropolis.
According to the organisers, the award was bestowed to appreciate Comr. Jimoh’s dedication to restoring order, improving sanitation, and creating a more organised trading environment within the Lokoja International Market. They described him as a “result-oriented reformer” whose leadership has brought visible changes that benefit both traders and residents.
Speaking at the event, representatives of the Concerned Lokoja Indigenous People commended Comr. Jimoh for his transparency, accessibility, and commitment to community development. They noted that his performance at the market has set a new standard for public service, inspiring confidence in grassroots leadership.
In addition to honouring the market consultant, the group used the occasion to declare their endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in office. The group stated that both leaders have demonstrated vision, stability, and developmental drive, which they believe should be sustained for the progress of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
They further highlighted ongoing federal and state government projects, noting that continuity would ensure completion and expansion. According to the group’s spokesperson, “As we appreciate excellence at the local level, we also stand firmly behind leaders who have shown genuine commitment to the welfare of our people.”
Responding to the honour, Comrade Adams Babangida Jimoh expressed gratitude to the organisers for recognising his efforts.
