The Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on Thursday, 25th September 2025, continued his statewide Thank-You Tour with a visit to Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The visit was aimed at appreciating the good people of Igalamela-Odolu LGA for their support for the present administration and their steadfast commitment to peace, unity, and the development of the state.
Delivering the Governor’s goodwill message, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko conveyed governor Ododo's gratitude for the people’s loyalty and cooperation. She reassured them of the administration’s commitment to inclusiveness, accountability, and sustainable progress.
On behalf of the Governor, she asked if the present administration was serving the people well. In response, the crowd echoed a resounding “YES”, commending Governor Ododo’s remarkable achievements in healthcare, education, agriculture, infrastructure development, and road construction across the state.
The Chairman of Igalamela-Odolu LGA, the Member representing Odolu in the State House of Assembly, APC leaders, youths, women, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders warmly received the delegation. They pledged their unflinching support to ensure Governor Ododo’s return in 2027, noting that valuable lessons had been learned from the 2023 Governorship Elections.
The DLG and LGT of Igalamela-Odolu also joined in commending the Governor’s impactful leadership, offering prayers for continued wisdom, strength, and success for Governor Ododo, former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and the Accountant General ofthe State.
The ongoing Thank-You Tour underscores Governor Ododo’s passion for strengthening the bond between government and the people, while ensuring that the dividends of democracy and inclusive governance reach every community in Kogi State.
