Ohinoyi of Ebiraland Hosts Managing Director of Ajaokuta Steel Company

The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, His Royal Majesty, on Saturday, received the Managing Director of Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited, Professor Abdulsalam Nasir Naeem, at his palace in Okene.

The high-profile visit was marked by a grand reception in honor of the visiting dignitary. In attendance were His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, all the Ohis' and Tarus' from across Ebiraland, alongside district heads, market women, political appointees, and other stakeholders from various parts of the state.
The visit underscores the importance of traditional institutions in promoting collaboration between key national industries and host communities. 

The Ohinoyi, in his speech, commended Prof. Naeem for his leadership at Ajaokuta Steel Company and expressed hope for renewed progress in the company’s operations.
He said, "Today marks a significant moment in our collective journey, as we receive not just a visitor, but a strategic partner in the future of industrial development in Kogi State and Nigeria."

"I appreciate all your efforts for the steel company to work and i  pray to God that under your watch, the company will experience real progress, and productivity that will benefit not only Kogi State, but Nigeria."

The Ohinoyi also extended profound gratitude to His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo for his tireless efforts in championing development projects in the state, and his efforts towards revival of the steel industry.

The governor in his remark during the event, emphasized his administration's commitment to driving industrial growth, reassuring that he's committed to policies that would give industries and manufacturers the enabling environment for their activities to thrive.
The governor who was represented by Dr. Abdullahi Ozomata also noted that partnerships between traditional institutions and the captain of industries, being it private or government-owned, remain vital in achieving sustainable economic development in any society.

The event was a display the host community’s support for the revitalization of Ajaokuta Steel, a cornerstone of Nigeria’s industrial aspirations.
