Children's Day: Kogi NYCN hails gov Ododo's child-friendly policies and inclusive governance

Kogi State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comr. Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale has commended Kogi State government for its ongoing reforms in the education sector, improved healthcare services for children, child-friendly policies, and inclusive governance that promotes the engagements and roles of young people in the state.

While fielding questions from newsmen today in Lokoja, Kogi State capital, the state Chairman said the theme of this year’s celebration: “Tapping the Untapped Natural Treasure,” is appropriate and thought-provoking.

The NYCN Chairman revealed that the Council is creating a platform for young people to display their talents and thrive.

While reiterating that the Council under his leadership will continue to advocate for the rights and well being of the children and young people in the state, Comrade Benjamin called on parents, religious leaders and teachers, particularly those at the secondary school level, to play active roles in nurturing the dreams and talents of children, by instilling values that promote peace, unity, innovation, and resilience.
Comrade Benjamin prayed that God would bless the state with a future beter than now,
