2025 Ovia-Osese: Kogi State Accountant-General charges Ogorians on Unity, progress and Tolerance
The people of Ogori/Magongo local government area have again been charged to work for the progress and oneness of the state in all ramifications.
The Accountant General of the state, Dr Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko gave the charge on Saturday, in her message during the 2025 Ovia Osese in Ogori, Ogori/Magongo LGA.
She urged the people of Ogori/Magongo LGA to continue to live in peace and harmony for the overall development of the state, maintaining that peace and unity are requisite for the development of any society.
The Ovia Osese is an annual event celebrated by the Ogori people in Ogori/Magongo LGA.
The Accountant General in her interview with Radio Kogi correspondent also stressed the need for people to instill the spirit of communalism towards solving their problems, maintaining that government alone cannot do it all.
While charging the celebrants to be of good character and behaviour as they enter into the status of womanhood, the Accountant General used the occasion to counsel the maidens to be focused on their studies and pursue their dreams with determination for them to achieve greatness in life.
She prayed God bless Ogori/Magongo land and the people of the area.
