
FAWWASS Attends Commissioning of Senator Oluremi Tinubu Pension and Treasury House in Lokoja
Members of the FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS), turned out in large numbers in Lokoja to participate in the commissioning of the Senator Oluremi Tinubu Pension and Treasury House, a landmark project designed to strengthen public financial management and enhance efficient service delivery in Kogi State.
The colourful ceremony attracted top government officials, political leaders, women groups, traditional rulers, and other distinguished personalities who gathered to witness the historic event.
Speaking shortly after the commissioning, the President of FAWWASS, Hon. Bilikisu Aliyu, expressed delight at being part of the occasion, describing the Pension and Treasury House as a legacy project that reflects the Kogi State Government's commitment to transparency, accountability, and improved public service.
Hon. Bilikisu Aliyu also applauded the Wife of the Kogi State Governor, Her Excellency, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, for her exceptional leadership in uniting women across the state and creating platforms that encourage their active participation in governance and development.
According to her, the visit of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Bola Tinubu, CON, to Kogi State to commission the Senator Oluremi Tinubu Pension and Treasury House is a clear indication that the Federal Government is pleased with the performance of the Kogi State Government under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
She noted that the visit also reflects national recognition of the impactful initiatives of the First Lady of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, whose commitment to improving the welfare of women, families, and vulnerable groups continues to transform lives across the state.
