The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ogori/Magongo Chapter, has declared its support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Sunday Ezekiel Osiako, describing the flagbearer as a leader with the capacity to deliver purposeful governance and youth-inclusive development.
Speaking during a courtesy visit paid by the NYCN to the APC candidate, the Coordinator of the Council, Comr. Tayo Onimisi Omodaiye, commended the candidate for maintaining close ties with young people and consistently advocating policies aimed at empowering the next generation.
The group noted that the candidate’s leadership style, accessibility, and commitment to grassroots development have continued to inspire confidence among youths across the constituency.
As a demonstration of solidarity and support, members of the NYCN donated branded face caps to Hon. Sunday Ezekiel Osiako during the visit. According to the council, the gesture was aimed at mobilizing greater participation among youths ahead of the election.
The youth body further urged eligible voters, especially young Nigerians, to remain peaceful, politically conscious, and actively involved in the democratic process.
The Council also noted that the future of the nation depends largely on the decisions made by young people, stressing that active participation in governance remains essential for sustainable growth and national development.
“Our interest is that every young person seeking any elective position in the local government area automatically becomes our candidate. We are non-partisan; we are not for any political party, but for every youth who courageously aspires to occupy any political position", the Coordinator added.
Among the members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) was the Director of Sports, Central, Comr. Andrew Stephen.
