Kogi AG Habibat Oyiza donates 500KVA transformer to Ageva community


The Accountant General of Kogi State, Dr Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has delivered a brand new electricity transformer to the people of Ageva community in Okene local government area.

The transformer is expected to boost electricity supply in the area, addressing long-standing issues of power outages and under-electrification.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, the Accountant General said the transformer is set for instant installation.

She reaffirmed governor Ahmed Usman Ododo's administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and ensuring that no community is left behind in the state’s development plans.

The Accountant General further commended former Governor Yahaya Bello for what it described as “laying enduring legacies and establishing a solid foundation for sustainable development” during his time in office.

The community leaders and residents in Ageva who were full of joy, expressed gratitude, and noted that access to consistent electricity will enhance small businesses and support general development in the area.
As the community celebrates this monumental gift from  the Kogi State Accountant-General, they in turn presented a copy of the Holy Qur'an to her, positing that she has set a powerful example of what it means to serve with heart and purpose.

Recall that a few months ago, the Accountant General had also extended the same gestures to Obehira Eba and Obehira Uvete communities.
Those who received the Kogi State Accountant-General at Ageva today were SSA to the governor and Community leader, Hon. Sadiq  Ahi Dauda, Taru Ohiigu of Anaka igi, HRH Karimu Sadiku Okaraga, Ohi Opisa of Eyire, HRH Idris Okeji, Taru Ohiomata Ejita Eyire, HRH Sadiq Ibrahim Anataku, former SA on Women Affairs, Okene LG and community Woman leader, Hon. Mariam Jimoh and others.
