
The Accountant-General of Kogi State, Dr Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has extended heartfelt greetings to workers across the state in celebration of the year 2025 Workers’ Day.
In a statement released today in Lokoja, she hailed the dedication, resilience, and patriotism of the workforce in driving the development of the state.
"Today is a day to recognize the sacrifices and immense contributions of workers in building our economy and sustaining governance. Your efforts are appreciated, and your welfare remains a priority," she stated.
The Accountant General hailed governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his many achievements in bettering the wellbeing of the people and workers of the state, and described him as a “promise keeper” and “the most worker-friendly governor" in Nigeria.
She reminded workers of the need to uphold professionalism and adhere to civil service ethics, while remaining focused, dedicated, and committed to their duties.
The Accountant-General reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving the welfare and working conditions of all employees in the state and urged workers to continue to show dedication and integrity in their duties.
She wished all workers a peaceful and fulfilling Workers’ Day celebration.
